Chelsea still remains at the top of the table. Tottenham is closing in from second only seven points below with 3 games left. Liverpool stays in third and seems to have no title chance left. Below is Manchester City with 69 points which is just one point below Liverpool FC. Manchester United are trying to close the season with a Champions League spot, but right now it seems unlikely. Arsenal is below them by five points. Then in seventh place is Everton who recently secured a Europa League spot. For most teams, there is only one game left while others have four or less. Chelsea seems like definite winners of the Premier League this year. Newcastle and Brighton are 2 of the 3 teams who are going to be promoted to the Premier League this season, and that’s all for the news I have.

So I’m going to do the club history of every team I can in the premier league, with exception of some teams. The first team I’m going to do is my favorite team, Everton. Everton began their history as St Domingo’s FC. They did moderately at the time, but later they changed their name. The first game after a name change to Everton Football Club took place at Stanley Park against St Peter’s. Everton won 6-0 on December 20, 1879. Later Everton won its first cup trophy. Winning the Liverpool cup and destroyed the competition. Then on October 15, 1887, Everton played their first game in the F.A. Cup. They lost 1-0 to the Bolton Wanderers. Soon they became one of the founders of the now Skybet League 1 in England. The story of how they became one of the 12 founder clubs of the Football League 1 is here if you want to know more about it. March 15, 1892, is when they left the old home stadium, Anfield, where their current rivals, Liverpool FC, plays. They then moved to Goodison Park Field where they still play today. The first game they ever played against Liverpool FC was in the Merseyside derby on October 13, 1894, with a record crowd of 44,000. They won 3-0 against their rivals. 2017, Review of Last Month, Current Standings, Premier League Player of the month, Chelsea’s Winning Streak Ends, and Scorpion Kicks!
Happy new year’s everyone! 2017 I feel will have a lot of changes from 2016. Some changes already were made in the premier league. In second place last year was Liverpool FC. Now it’s the Tottenham Spurs in second. Another change is Chelsea’s unbeaten streak. It ended after recently the Spurs defeated them 2-0 and White Hart Stadium. Manchester United is catching up after going 7 games without a loss. They stand 6th on the table only 4 points off the champions league spot.
Speaking of Manchester United, their starting striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic won player of the month for January. Most people thought Zlatan would do horrible in the new league but after the award, he quoted, “It took three months for me to take over England.” Another player from Manchester Utd. “Mkhitaryan” and Arsenal’s player “Giroud” both performed amazing scorpion kick goals. Another thing that happened, a title contender Manchester City was destroyed by Everton, my favorite team, 4-0. Tom Davies a youngster on Everton “18” scored his first goal that day. so Chelsea still sits on top, Arsenal rises to second, Spurs third, and Liverpool lowers to fourth.

Week Thirteen News!
Week thirteen has passed and the table hasn’t made the most change except Chelsea has found itself on top. Not much news today but the brand new manager of Swansea, Bob Bradley, had his first match with the team this week. They won 5-4 against Crystal Palace.

Week 11 Game of the Week results and other Games!
The first game is one of the biggest derby games in the Premier League. It was Arsenal welcoming Tottenham to Emirates Stadium. The game started and until the 42 minute Tottenham let in an own goal. Later Arsenal give up a crucial penalty which gave Harry Kane on Tottenham his first game back after injury. After that the game ended 1-1.
This week Everton came to Chelsea just to be blown out losing 5-0. I am disappointed in this loss myself being an Everton fan. Besides that though Chelsea’s manager Antonio Conte is considered a genius. His new 3-4-3 formation fits perfect for his players and they haven’t lost since he put it in.
One more thing during the Manchester Utd. and Swansea game, Zlatan Ibrahimović scored the 25,000 goal ever in the premier league.
Week 8 Outcome
After a real actioning week of soccer. Some standings on the table have changed. Chelsea wins against standing champions Leicester 3 to 0. Everton ties Manchester City in a amazing match. Bournemouth destroys Hull City beating them 6 to 1. Then Liverpool and the Manchester United Derby ends nil to nil. Stekelanburg from Everton wins player of the week after saving two penalties in one game.
Liverpool and Manchester United Outcome!
The game ended 0-0 but still wasn’t a boring game. Both sides went all out in this magnificent derby. De Gea, Manchester United goalkeeper, was called many times to make many great saves. Ander Herrera on Manchester United won man-of- the-match. He made many great passes and tackles proving why he won man-of-the-match. Hopefully in the next game when they face again they will have more goals, but this game was still very entertaining.
